Bitmine Buys 71,524 ETH, Raises Treasury to 4.87M ETH

Bitmine bought 71,524 ETH in a week, bringing holdings to about 4.87 million ETH, or roughly 4.04% of supply, as it pursues up to 5% of global Ether.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies disclosed that it purchased 71,524 Ether over the past week, raising its holdings to about 4.87 million ETH, roughly 4.04% of the circulating supply based on about 120.7 million tokens outstanding.

The company said the latest weekly accumulation is its fastest since December 2025. Bitmine’s balance sheet also includes 198 Bitcoin and about $719 million in cash.

Approximately 3.33 million ETH of the holdings are staked through Bitmine’s MAVAN platform. Based on recent yields, those staked tokens are projected to generate about $310 million in annual rewards.

Bitmine has set a target to acquire up to 5% of global Ether supply. Five percent of the cited 120.7 million tokens equals about 6.035 million ETH.

The announcement follows the company’s uplisting from NYSE American to the New York Stock Exchange on April 9.

Market data show Bitmine as the largest corporate Ether treasury. Other public treasuries hold about 868,699 ETH at SharpLink and 496,712 ETH at The Ether Machine. Exodus Movement added 17 ETH in the past 30 days, bringing its total to about 1,857 ETH.

On Bitcoin treasuries, Strategy disclosed acquiring 13,927 BTC for $1 billion between April 6 and April 12 at an average price of $71,902 per coin, bringing its total to 780,897 BTC purchased for approximately $59.02 billion. Strategy added 42,166 BTC over the past 30 days. Metaplanet increased holdings by 5,075 BTC. Miner selling included MARA Holdings, which sold 15,133 BTC, and Riot Platforms, which reduced holdings by about 2,325 BTC.

Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine, pointed to demand tied to tokenization activity on Wall Street and rising use of public blockchains by artificial intelligence systems as factors behind Ether’s recent performance.

Ether has gained about 7% over the past month and remains down roughly 25% year to date.
