Bitget backs UNICEF Game Changers expansion into AI, finance

Bitget begins second year of partnership with UNICEF Game Changers Coalition to support rollout of financial literacy and AI modules and expansion into three more countries.

Bitget has begun the second year of its partnership with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition. The company will support the rollout of financial literacy and artificial intelligence modules and help expand the programme into three additional countries.

Launched by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, the Game Changers Coalition has reached more than 642,000 young people, parents and teachers across eight countries. The programme currently operates in Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco and South Africa. Girls make up 52% of participants to date. Blockchain content is scheduled for 2026.

Bitget joined the coalition in June 2025 through UNICEF Luxembourg. In the second year the company will contribute to curriculum development and geographic growth. The partnership’s activities include field visits, executive participation and support for coalition-led learning experiences.

In the first year Bitget staff visited partner sites to promote digital skills training. Bitget CMO Ignacio Aguirre visited Cambodia and met students, teachers and local partners involved in those programmes.

In late 2025 Bitget CEO Gracy Chen supported the coalition’s inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam, a 40-day initiative in which young creators in emerging economies developed original video games with mentorship and access to a self-paced online course. Gracy Chen, Bitget CEO, commented: “Technology is becoming part of everyday life faster than education systems can adapt. What stood out during our work with UNICEF this year was how quickly young people engage once they are given access and opportunity. Our eventual goal is not only to introduce blockchain or digital tools, but to help build confidence and long-term digital and financial literacy that can create opportunities far beyond crypto.”

Thomas Davin, Global Director at UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, observed: “Too many young people are still locked out from the skills driving the digital transformation shaping today’s economy.” He added that the coalition brings industry, governments and communities together so young people gain skills and confidence to participate in a technology-driven economy.

Bitget was founded in 2018 and reports serving more than 120 million users. The company says its Bitget Wallet app has over 80 million users. Bitget has run education-focused programmes alongside partnerships with sports organisations.

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories. UNICEF Luxembourg supports the global mission by mobilizing private sector partnerships, advocating for children’s rights and focusing on reducing inequalities and improving access to education and wellbeing.

Under the renewed partnership, Bitget will continue support as the coalition rolls out the new curriculum components and expands into additional countries, with blockchain content scheduled for 2026.
