Bitcoin, Ether ETFs Draw $128M as Crypto Rebounds

US-listed spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs drew $127.6 million Wednesday as crypto prices rose after Democratic midterm victories, ending outflow streaks for both fund groups.

US-listed spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds attracted a combined $127.6 million Wednesday, according to SoSoValue data. Bitcoin funds received $74.6 million, while Ether funds took in $53 million.

The inflows ended three consecutive trading sessions of outflows from Bitcoin ETFs totaling $1.16 billion. Ether ETFs broke a seven-day outflow streak that had reached $657 million.

Bitcoin rose above $80,000, and US stocks gained after Democrats recorded victories in the midterm elections. Bitcoin ETF outflows had fallen from $399 million Monday to $116 million Tuesday.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded $201.2 million in outflows Wednesday, extending its withdrawal streak to four sessions and bringing total outflows during that period to $935.2 million, according to Farside Investors data. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund led inflows with about $237 million.

Wednesday’s inflows reduced Bitcoin ETFs’ net outflows for 2026 to about $79 million, according to the data.

James Butterfill, head of research at digital asset manager CoinShares, said Bitcoin had largely priced in the possibility of a Democratic sweep before the election. He attributed the rebound in part to reduced uncertainty but cautioned against linking too much of Bitcoin’s performance to the election result.

CK Zheng, co-founder of crypto hedge fund ZX Squared Capital and a former global head of risk at Credit Suisse, identified monetary liquidity, institutional investment flows and investor risk appetite as more immediate drivers of Bitcoin’s price.

Zheng added that spot Bitcoin ETFs and corporate Bitcoin treasury holdings could increase demand for the asset while exposing it to selling by institutional investors.
