Bitcoin ETFs draw $6.3B in Q3 as BTC gains 42.7%

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $6.34 billion in net inflows in Q3, reversing about $5 billion in Q2 outflows as Bitcoin gained 42.71%.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $6.34 billion in net inflows during the third quarter, according to SoSoValue data. The inflows reversed roughly $5 billion in net outflows recorded in the second quarter.

The funds recorded about $172 million in net inflows in July, followed by $3.52 billion in August and $2.65 billion in September. September’s total was about 25% lower than August’s.

Inflows slowed late in September. The ETFs recorded roughly $149 million in net outflows on the final Wednesday of the month, ending a nine-day inflow streak that brought in about $3.1 billion.

Bitcoin gained 42.71% in the third quarter, its strongest quarterly increase since the fourth quarter of 2024 and its best third-quarter performance since 2017, according to CoinGlass.

U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded about $3.05 billion in net inflows during the quarter after posting roughly $714 million in net outflows in the second quarter. Ether gained about 71% in Q3.

XRP ETFs attracted about $308 million during the quarter, bringing their cumulative net inflows to $1.79 billion. Solana ETFs drew roughly $272 million in September, while Zcash ETFs recorded about $246 million in inflows during the month.
