Anonymous Whale Buys 21,800 ETH in $47M Accumulation

An anonymous wallet spent $46.99M to buy 21,800 ETH since Feb. 15, most recently adding 1,500 ETH for $3.43M, leaving about $3M unrealized profit as ETH trades above $2,300.

An anonymous Ethereum wallet spent $46.99 million acquiring 21,800 ETH between Feb. 15 and early April, according to on-chain tracking. The purchases averaged about $2,155 per coin. The latest tranche of 1,500 ETH cost $3.43 million and raised the wallet’s holdings to 21,800 ETH.

With Ether trading above $2,300, the position shows roughly $3 million in unrealized profit based on current prices. The purchases were made steadily over more than two months and were executed in multiple transactions rather than a single large buy.

The wallet has not been publicly identified and does not appear linked to any known public figure or institution. On-chain data providers flagged an increase in large Ethereum transfers and accumulation by major holders during the first quarter of 2026 while retail activity remained muted.

The wallet is distinct from another large holder that controls about 127,716 ETH, a position valued at about $292 million. Separately, a wallet associated with Garrett Jin, founder of the defunct exchange Bitforex, deposited 577,896 ETH into Binance over four days.

On-chain analysts described the anonymous wallet’s activity as extended and consistent, characterizing the buys as steady rather than one-off trades. Monitoring tools captured the transactions and broader whale activity, offering visibility into how large holders are repositioning on the Ethereum network.
