7RCC debuts BTCK ETF: 80% Bitcoin, 20% Carbon Futures
7RCC launched BTCK on NYSE Arca, allocating 80% to spot bitcoin and 20% to regulated carbon credit futures tied to EU ETS, California cap-and-trade and RGGI.
7RCC Global launched the 7RCC Spot Bitcoin and Carbon Credit Futures ETF on NYSE Arca this week, listing under the ticker BTCK. The fund assigns roughly 80% of assets to spot bitcoin and 20% to regulated carbon credit futures tied to the European Union Emissions Trading System, California’s cap-and-trade program and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
BTCK tracks the 7RCC Kaiko Bitcoin Carbon Credit Index and reflects daily changes in the value of its holdings, less fees and expenses. About 80% of the portfolio is invested in spot bitcoin; the remainder is placed in futures contracts for carbon credits from the three emissions markets.
Gemini Trust Company holds the fund’s bitcoin in custody. U.S. Bank serves as cash custodian and administrator. The carbon allocation is provided through regulated futures contracts rather than tokenized credits or on-chain assets.
Investors can buy BTCK through standard brokerage accounts that offer listed ETFs without opening crypto exchange accounts or managing digital wallets. 7RCC filed for an ESG-oriented bitcoin ETF using the same 80/20 model roughly two and a half years ago.
Bitcoin and carbon futures are driven by different factors. Bitcoin prices respond to adoption, liquidity and broader monetary conditions. Carbon credit futures respond to emissions rules, compliance demand and changes in climate policy.
Rali Perduhova, co-founder and CEO of 7RCC Global, commented, “We believe that digital assets will become a lasting part of global finance. Investors want access to those assets through regulated structures designed for long-term use. BTCK provides a transparent way to hold two exposures that have historically been difficult to combine in one investment vehicle.”
The launch comes as ETF issuers expand offerings for crypto-related funds; BTCK pairs a majority bitcoin allocation with a regulated carbon futures sleeve in a single listed product.
