11 AI models forecast Bitcoin year-end 2026 at $84.5K-$118.4K

Eleven AI chatbots including ChatGPT, Claude and Grok forecast Bitcoin’s Dec. 31, 2026 close between $84,500 and $118,400 after receiving recent price history and cycle context.

The newsroom queried 11 conversational AI models with the same prompt and price history and asked each for a single closing price for Dec. 31, 2026 and a two- to three-sentence rationale. The prompt noted Bitcoin’s Oct. 2025 peak of $126,272, a Feb. 5, 2026 low of $59,930 and a price just above $76,000 in early May.

The models returned year-end targets that ranged from $84,500 to $118,400. Several estimates clustered in the mid-$90,000s to low-$110,000s. Examples included Grok at about $108,500, Gemini at $114,500, Copilot at $92,000, Venice at $94,500 and one model at $84,500.

None of the systems in the sample projected a return to the Feb. 5 low near $59,930 or a replay of the Oct. 2025 record above $126,272. Responses generally presented a recovery scenario rather than forecasts of a new all-time high or a renewed collapse.

Models drew on similar inputs when forming their views: the post-halving cycle dynamics that produced the Oct. 2025 peak, the corrective drop in February and the rebound into the mid-$70,000s by early May. Many models identified institutional flows into spot ETFs, overall market liquidity and macroeconomic conditions as the primary variables that would affect year-end outcomes.

Prediction-market data referenced in the exercise showed an 87% probability on Polymarket that Bitcoin will exceed $80,000 by Dec. 31, 2026 and a 40% probability it will reach $100,000 by year-end. Those probabilities were described as largely steady in the weeks leading up to the survey of AI models.

The AI responses illustrate a range of possible year-end prices when identical historical inputs are processed under different analytic assumptions. Models differed mainly in how they weighted the pace of ETF inflows, the timing of monetary policy shifts and the scale of institutional accumulation for the remainder of 2026.
