dYdX Chain, a standalone Layer 1 platform based on Cosmos, has officially entered the beta-testing phase of its mainnet. This milestone follows a decisive governance vote, where over 99% supported the transition from post-trading to active trading.
MetaMask Portfolio now lets users cash out crypto to fiat currencies like USD, EUR, and GBP. Users can quickly convert crypto to fiat, sending it directly to preferred destinations like bank accounts or PayPal.
Instead of relying on one provider, MetaMask aggregates multiple vetted providers, presenting real-time conversion options.
Currently, this feature supports ETH on Ethereum Mainnet in the US, UK, and parts of Europe. Expansion plans include more regions and layer 2 network gas tokens.
Currently, Mantle DAO is evaluating a proposal that would prohibit the conversion of BIT tokens held by FTX Group into the new MNT token. Previously, Alameda Research, a branch of the FTX Group, swapped 3.4 million FTT tokens for a staggering 100 million BIT tokens, which equated to around $43 million. Yet FTX's descent into bankruptcy prompted DAO members to introduce this proposal. MNT is a token that was launched as Mantle's L2 mainnet went live. The blockchain was established by the Bybit exchange, which initiated the merge of BIT (BitDAO) and MNT tokens. Controversies aside, there's robust support for this proposal within the Mantle enclave, spotlighting the overarching investor community's interests.
Uniswap has rolled out "Swap Protection" to shield Ethereum mainnet transactions from sandwich attacks and front-running.
When users enable this feature in the Uniswap Wallet, swaps are directed to a private transaction pool, enhancing security against potential threats. Due to this added layer, some swaps might have higher auto slippage to boost the likelihood of successful transactions.
Polygon Labs has launched its Chain Development Kit (CDK), a software tool designed to help developers create Ethereum Layer 2 chains powered by zero-knowledge proofs.
The toolkit will support an "Interop Layer," a new protocol that aggregates zero-knowledge proofs from multiple Polygon chains and secures them on the Ethereum mainnet.
This move aligns with Polygon's shift towards creating more interconnected chains, similar to ecosystems like Cosmos and Polkadot.
Shibarium, the Layer 2 blockchain by Shiba Inu's creators, is back in action. After a temporary shutdown due to scalability issues, the team has reopened withdrawals on its bridge to Ethereum. The pause initially locked millions in user funds and caused community unrest.
Now, the mainnet and bridge are fully functional, allowing withdrawals of various assets like SHIB, LEASH, and WETH within 45 minutes to 3 hours. BONE token withdrawals are also back but may take up to 7 days.
Stated to be a staggering 10 times faster than Solana, the network accomplishes transaction finality in just 250 milliseconds.
Trading of the blockchain's native token (SEI) has started on different centralized exchanges, and it's now valued at approximately $0.19.
There's also news of an airdrop, but claiming will be permitted only after the "initial warm-up period."
The time frame for this warm-up has not yet been revealed.
