BIS Leads Successful Test of International CBDCs
In a joint initiative, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the central banks of Switzerland, France and Singapore have wrapped up a test focused on the cross-border exchange and settlement of wholesale digital currencies issued by central banks.
At the Intersekt 2023 fintech conference, top executives from Australian crypto firms addressed the growing concern of fraud in the sector. Their consensus? Educating users about scammers' tactics can drastically cut down on fraud incidents. Instead of simply responding to issues, the focus should be on proactive prevention. The discussion also pointed out that the responsibility for curbing crypto scams doesn't just fall on the crypto industry — it's shared by banks, social media platforms, and telecom companies as well.
The recent debut of PayPal's stablecoin, PYUSD, has drawn concern from Congresswoman Maxine Waters. She criticized PayPal's entry into the cryptocurrency market without a defined federal regulatory structure.

Brian Armstrong has expressed his belief that Binance has transferred some of their USDC assets to a different stablecoin, according to anonymous sources in Cointelegraph.
NotChaseColeman, an analyst, highlights that Binance and Justin Sun are strategically moving from USDT to USDC to secure USD, which will then be invested in FDUSD and TUSD (assets controlled by the company).
