Trust Wallet Adds Robinhood Chain for Layer-2 Self-Custody

Trust Wallet integrated Robinhood Chain into its apps, letting users self‑custody, transfer and swap Layer‑2 assets; Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the network “works great for memes too.”

Trust Wallet announced on July 8, 2026 that it has added support for Robinhood Chain to its mobile app and browser extension. The integration allows users to self‑custody, send, receive, store and swap tokens issued on the Ethereum‑compatible Layer‑2 network.

Robinhood Chain is a Layer‑2 network built to host tokenized markets, cryptocurrencies and real‑world assets. The network processes transactions off‑chain, bundles them into a compressed summary and submits that summary to Ethereum. According to the companies, that design lowers per‑transaction costs to fractions of a cent and shortens confirmation times compared with sending every transaction directly to the Ethereum mainnet.

Under the update, Trust Wallet users retain control of their private keys while managing assets on Robinhood Chain. Built‑in swap functions in Trust Wallet now support assets on the chain, which companies say reduces failed transactions caused by volatile gas prices or long mainnet queues. The app also adds home‑screen shortcuts for deposits, withdrawals and swaps. Users must update to the latest version of the app to access the new features and to take part in planned joint campaigns with Robinhood.

In a company statement Trust Wallet said, “Adding Robinhood Chain expands Trust Wallet’s multi‑chain coverage and gives you smoother access to a network built for onchain finance.” Robinhood co‑founder and CEO Vlad Tenev commented, “While we’re building Robinhood Chain to be the best chain for RWA … it works great for memes too.”

Trust Wallet described the technical integration as the first phase of a broader rollout. The companies said the update provides direct, self‑custodial access to Robinhood Chain without requiring custody by an exchange or custodial wallet.
