Trump Media Sends $344 Million in Bitcoin to Crypto.com
Trump Media transferred about 4,259 Bitcoin worth $343.67 million to a Crypto.com-linked wallet on Nov. 5, less than four weeks before noteholders can demand repayment. No sale is confirmed.
Trump Media and Technology Group transferred about 4,259 Bitcoin, worth roughly $343.67 million, to a Crypto.com-linked wallet on Nov. 5. The transaction occurred less than four weeks before noteholders can demand cash repayment under the company’s convertible notes. No sale has been confirmed.
Blockchain records show two transfers of 2,140.03 BTC and 2,119.31 BTC from wallets labeled “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral.” The transfers sent the Bitcoin to an address linked to Crypto.com.
The transferred amount is close to the 4,260.73 BTC that Trump Media reported pledging as collateral for its convertible notes in a June 30 quarterly filing. The difference is about 1.38 BTC. The filing said the company could not withdraw or distribute the pledged Bitcoin under the notes’ terms.
Trump Media reported holding about 14,139 BTC as of July 31. The transferred Bitcoin represents roughly 30% of that reported balance. Sending Bitcoin to an exchange-linked wallet does not prove that the company sold the assets or gave up ownership. Blockchain records show the coins arriving at the wallet, but do not show a conversion into dollars or stablecoins.
Noteholders can demand cash repayment on Nov. 30, 2026. Trump Media has warned that it may need to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets if it cannot refinance the obligation.
The company previously transferred Bitcoin to Crypto.com-linked wallets without confirming a sale. In May, its wallets sent about 2,650 BTC, followed by another transfer of roughly 2,628 BTC in August. On both occasions, the company described the transfers as related to trading or custody and said the Bitcoin had not been sold.
House Democrats announced plans on Nov. 4 to investigate crypto businesses linked to President Donald Trump, including World Liberty Financial. No evidence connects the investigation to the Bitcoin transfer.
The company’s filing and the blockchain records do not establish the reason for the latest transaction. They confirm the transfer to a Crypto.com-linked wallet, but provide no evidence that Trump Media sold the Bitcoin.
