TRON tops 400M accounts; transfers near $30T
TRON DAO reported the TRON blockchain exceeded 400 million accounts and total transfer volume topped $29 trillion, citing TRONSCAN figures.
Geneva — TRON DAO reported on Aug. 25, 2026 that the TRON blockchain has exceeded 400 million total accounts and that total transfer volume has surpassed $29 trillion, according to TRONSCAN.
TRONSCAN figures show the network has processed more than 15.2 billion transactions and holds over $28 billion in total value locked (TVL).
The account base expanded after TRON’s genesis block on June 25, 2018. The first 100 million accounts took four years to reach. TRON reached 200 million accounts on Dec. 7, 2023, passed 300 million on April 12, 2025, and crossed 400 million on Aug. 23, 2026, the announcement noted.
TRON currently hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether (USDT), which exceeds $94 billion. The network is used for stablecoin settlements and other high-volume transfers because of low fees and high transaction throughput.
TRON highlighted growing institutional engagement, including its inclusion in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index based on protocol utility, on-chain liquidity and network activity. The update cited collaborations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize and Bitnomial to broaden institutional access to tokenized assets on the chain.
Justin Sun, TRON founder, described reaching 400 million accounts as ‘a meaningful milestone for the TRON ecosystem and a reflection of the growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure.’ He added that TRON will continue to focus on efficiency and accessibility for payments, stablecoins, decentralized applications and tokenized assets.
TRON DAO presented the figures without independent verification beyond TRONSCAN and did not provide a geographic breakdown of users or separate active wallets from dormant addresses.
The announcement said TRON is working to expand network capacity and application support to handle ongoing growth in transaction volumes and tokenized services.
