Strategy purchased 1,587 bitcoin for approximately $100 million at an average price of $63,024 per coin, the company disclosed on Monday. Michael Saylor, the company’s executive chairman, announced the acquisition on X at 8:02 a.m. ET on June 15, 2026.
The purchase brings Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings to 846,842 BTC. At that level the company controls about 4% of bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins as of June 15, 2026.
The company increased its U.S. dollar reserve by $100 million to $1.1 billion. Strategy has maintained both cash and bitcoin balances and has used equity and debt offerings in prior rounds to fund bitcoin purchases.
The disclosed average price reflects a blended cost rather than a single trade. The $63,024 average was below prevailing spot prices at the time of the filing. Strategy’s upcoming 10-Q and other SEC filings are expected to detail the timing and financing of the purchases.
Strategy remains the largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the tickers MSTR and STRC.
