Stablecoin market rises to $321.8B; USDT near $200B

Stablecoin market rose to $321.759B after $1.08B inflows April 26–May 3. USDT holds 58.90% at $189.525B, about $10.475B below $200B.

The stablecoin market rose to $321.759 billion after $1.08 billion of inflows during April 26–May 3, producing a 0.34% gain for the seven-day period as of May 3. The sector reached another all-time high for the year.

USDT accounted for 58.90% of the market at $189.525 billion. Over the week USDT fell 0.14%, losing about $271 million in market value and remaining roughly $10.475 billion below the $200 billion level.

USDC increased 0.61% to a market capitalization of $78.296 billion and represented 24.33% of the sector at the end of the reporting week.

Sky’s USDS rose 6.08% to $8.776 billion, adding more than $503 million since April 26. MakerDAO’s DAI slipped 1.02% to $4.619 billion. World Liberty Financial’s USD1 advanced 3.18% to $4.531 billion, reflecting inflows of more than $139 million over the seven-day span.

PayPal’s PYUSD declined 1.78%, shedding just over $61 million, while Circle’s USYC fell 10.93%, with more than $317 million exiting.

Some stablecoins recorded net inflows while others recorded outflows, producing a net increase in the sector over the week. Stablecoins are used for trading, lending, payments and liquidity management, and changes in supply and demand for individual issuers affected their relative market shares during the reporting period.

The weekly figures provide a snapshot of how liquidity and holdings were distributed among major stablecoin issuers at the end of the reporting week.
