S&P Pantera Index Adds TRON to Blockchain Benchmark
S&P Dow Jones Indices and Pantera Capital launched the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index on July 22, 2026, and included TRON among its top-ranked protocols.
S&P Dow Jones Indices and Pantera Capital launched the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index on July 22, 2026. The index applies standard market metrics to blockchain networks and ranks protocols by protocol utility, on-chain liquidity and network activity.
TRON was named among the top protocols in the new benchmark. TRON DAO and on-chain records show the blockchain supports more than 394 million user accounts and holds over $90 billion in USDT supply as of July 2026. Token Terminal data indicates TRON led networks in year-to-date USDT transfer volume at about $4.5 trillion.
Operational metrics for TRON include more than 14 billion total transactions and roughly $26 billion in total value locked on TRON applications, according to TRONSCAN. The index’s methodology evaluates networks based on usage and activity rather than token price alone to provide a repeatable, data-driven comparison for institutional participants.
TRON has integrated with U.S. infrastructure providers Anchorage Digital, Securitize and Bitnomial to expand regulated institutional access to custody, token issuance and trading services tied to the network.
Justin Sun, TRON founder, commented: “Transparent benchmarks have long served as essential reference points across global financial markets. Applying those same principles to blockchain networks reflects the continued maturation of digital assets as an institutional asset class, where utility, adoption, and onchain activity are becoming fundamental measures of a network’s significance.”
The S&P Pantera index uses standardized criteria focused on protocol utility, on-chain liquidity and network activity to allow investors and market participants to compare networks such as TRON alongside other major protocols.
