MoonPay Enables Gasless TRON Stablecoin Transactions
MoonPay added TRON to its Trade platform so users can complete TRON transactions without holding TRX for gas. Trust Wallet is the first partner to offer the gasless feature.
On August 5, 2026, MoonPay integrated the TRON network into its Trade infrastructure, allowing users to complete TRON transactions without holding TRX to pay network fees. Trust Wallet is the first partner to route TRON on-chain transactions through MoonPay’s Trade service and make gasless transactions available to its users.
Under the integration, MoonPay abstracts TRON gas fees and incorporates them into the overall transaction amount. Users can send or swap assets on TRON without maintaining a separate TRX balance to cover network fees. The change applies across the TRON ecosystem, including decentralized applications such as SunSwap and JustLend.
Before the update, users transacting on TRON needed a balance of TRX to pay network fees even when moving stablecoins. With fee collection handled inside the transaction flow, wallets and applications can present a single payment amount that uses only the assets a user holds.
Trust Wallet is the initial launch partner offering the feature to its customer base. MoonPay described the integration as a way to simplify onboarding for new users and to reduce operational overhead for businesses and developers building on TRON by removing the requirement to manage TRX balances for gas.
Justin Sun, founder of TRON, described the partnership as simplifying stablecoin transactions on the network and said it aligns with TRON’s goal of making blockchain payments easier for users. Ivan Soto-Wright, MoonPay’s CEO and founder, noted that removing the need to hold TRX eliminates a common point of friction for stablecoin transfers.
MoonPay, founded in 2019, provides fiat-to-crypto and on-chain infrastructure and reports serving more than 30 million customers across 180 countries. MoonPay’s Trade infrastructure is operated by Swaps XYZ, Ltd., a British Virgin Islands subsidiary; the company notes that Swaps XYZ is not licensed or regulated by financial services authorities and is separate from MoonPay’s regulated affiliates.
TRON is described by its operators as a settlement network for stablecoins. As of August 2026, TRON reported handling over $22 billion in average daily transfer volume, more than 396 million user accounts, over 15 billion transactions and roughly $26 billion in total value locked.
The integration does not change TRON’s underlying fee mechanics on chain. It changes how fees are collected and presented to end users when transactions pass through MoonPay’s Trade infrastructure.
