MEXC and Payward, the parent company of Kraken, are discussing a possible collaboration ahead of TOKEN2049 Singapore. Their chief executives are scheduled to appear together at the conference on Oct. 7.
MEXC CEO Vugar Usi Zade and Payward Co-CEO Arjun Sethi will join a panel at the MEXC Stage from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. The discussion will cover trading platform development and possible cooperation between exchanges.
The panel will address broader access to crypto and traditional financial markets, artificial intelligence in investment research and trading tools, and the growth of social trading. Speakers are also expected to discuss how exchanges use market access, liquidity, infrastructure and user experience to serve customers.
Security and customer asset protection will be part of the discussion. MEXC has focused on retail trading, liquidity and perpetual contracts linked to crypto and traditional financial assets. Payward operates Kraken and provides services for professional and retail traders, with a presence in the U.S. market.
“Users increasingly expect broader market access without more complexity,” Usi Zade wrote in the announcement. He added that trading platforms will need to bring user experience, liquidity, infrastructure and market access into closer alignment.
The companies have not announced a finalized partnership or specific products resulting from the talks. MEXC was founded in 2018 and reports serving users in more than 170 markets. Its platform offers trading in crypto assets, stocks, tokenized assets, derivatives and other products linked to traditional finance.
