Launchpads Produced 82% of Arc’s First-Day DEX Volume
Meme-coin launchpads drove about 82% of the $410.8 million DEX volume on Circle’s Arc debut; Arguspad handled $202.35 million.
Meme-coin launchpads accounted for roughly 82% of the $410.8 million in decentralized exchange volume on Circle’s Arc network during its first public mainnet day, Sept. 16. Arguspad handled $202.35 million of that total.
Circle built Arc as an open Layer 1 network aimed at financial markets, real-time money movement and automated economic activity. Its founding validator set includes BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC and ICE. More than 100 institutional and ecosystem builders had deployed or tested on Arc’s private mainnet before the public opening. Asset managers including Bitwise, BlackRock and Janus Henderson have plans to move tokenized funds onto the chain, and payment firms Visa and MoneyGram plan to use it for stablecoin settlement.
On-chain data shows traders focused on short-term token launches on day one. Launchpad tokens produced $336.26 million of Arc’s first-day trading volume. Arguspad accounted for $202.35 million, Minara.fun recorded $36.41 million and Tollylabs managed $19.65 million. Arguspad minted 83,751 tokens in the 24-hour period, more than 86% of all tokens created on the chain. In total, traders minted 97,025 tokens and sent about 7.76 million transactions through Arc on Sept. 16.
Trading platforms were active at launch: Uniswap, Robinhood and Pump.fun expanded spot, perpetual and cross-chain markets on Arc.
Jeremy Allaire, Circle’s co-founder and CEO, described the network at launch as “an open, neutral, always-on economic operating system for the internet, secured by some of the most important financial institutions on Earth, and built for a world where both people and machines transact.”
For comparison, Robinhood Chain cleared $14.74 million on its opening day, July 1, and later reached a daily high of $3.7 billion.
Circle and participating firms have outlined plans for tokenized funds and stablecoin rails on Arc. The coming weeks of on-chain activity will indicate whether institutional settlement or launchpad-driven trading accounts for more of the network’s volume.
