HIVE completed Phase 2 of its Paraguay Yguazú mining site, boosting total mining power to 18 EH/s.
HIVE Digital Technologies, a Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure company, has completed Phase 2 of its mining site in Paraguay, the Yguazú project, ahead of schedule. With this expansion, HIVE’s total mining power has grown to 18 EH/s.

The company said its Paraguay facility currently produces over 8.5 BTC daily, with output expected to rise further as new machines come online.

The Paraguay site is powered by clean energy from the Itaipú Dam, the largest hydroelectric plant in the Western Hemisphere.
HIVE plans to complete Phase 3 of the Yguazú project, with construction nearly finished and new Bitcoin ASIC miners set to be installed in the coming weeks. Once completed around U.S. Thanksgiving (November 27, 2025), this phase will raise HIVE’s total mining capacity to 25 EH/s. At that scale, the company expects to produce about 12 Bitcoin per day based on the current network difficulty level, accounting for roughly 3% of the global Bitcoin network. To reach this production level, HIVE will need to deploy more mining machines and use more power.

CEO Aydin Kilic said HIVE runs a dual model: Bitcoin mining and AI cloud computing powered by GPU data centers. COO Luke Rossy added that the 200 MW Yguazú site is the largest Bitcoin mining facility HIVE has ever built, and it was completed in record time.

According to Сompaniesmarketcap.com, HIVE Blockchain Technologies ranks among the world’s top 15 Bitcoin miners with a $600 million market cap. In 2025, the company’s valuation rose by about 70%. Other leading Bitcoin mining companies include IREN (Iris Energy), Marathon Digital Holdings, and Riot Blockchain.
