ForumPay integrates crypto payments with Shopify

ForumPay integrated its crypto-to-fiat payments with Shopify, letting merchants accept major cryptocurrencies and receive payouts in local fiat currencies.

ForumPay has integrated its crypto-to-fiat payment system with Shopify, making the feature available to the platform’s millions of merchants. The integration lets Shopify stores present a crypto payment option at checkout and completes transactions through ForumPay’s hosted payment page.

Shoppers can pay from any wallet using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin, Tether (USDT) and USDC. Merchants receive settlement in local fiat currencies, including US dollars, euros and British pounds.

ForumPay guarantees the conversion rate at the time of the transaction and settles funds into merchants’ bank accounts on the next business day.

The service processes instant crypto-to-cash conversions so merchants do not hold cryptocurrency from customer payments. ForumPay handles the hosted checkout and custody, and the company says transactions have no chargebacks and do not create PCI-DSS card-compliance costs for merchants.

ForumPay said the integration allows Shopify merchants to offer crypto payments without changing their existing checkout flow and noted a potential customer base among cryptocurrency users it estimates at nearly one billion worldwide.

Joshua Tate, ForumPay co-founder and chief executive, called the integration a natural next step and added that any Shopify business can now give customers the option to pay in crypto and settle in their chosen currency.

ForumPay received the Best Crypto Payment Services Provider 2025 award at the Global Crypto Awards. The company states its platform supports purchases ranging from everyday goods to high-value items and provides direct bank settlement so merchants receive fiat rather than holding tokens.

The integration is available now to Shopify merchants globally.
