Evernorth Raises $30M in Notes to Buy XRP
Evernorth raised $30 million through notes to buy XRP tokens and finance projects within the token’s ecosystem.
Evernorth sold notes and raised $30 million to purchase XRP tokens and fund activity in the token’s ecosystem. The offering closed recently.
Notes are debt securities that let investors lend money to an issuer in exchange for repayment with interest. Evernorth issued the notes to secure funding dedicated to digital-asset purchases and ecosystem work, not for general corporate use.
Evernorth said the proceeds will be used to increase its XRP holdings and to finance operational and development needs within the XRP ecosystem, giving the company immediate purchasing power in the XRP market.
XRP is the native token of the XRP Ledger, a blockchain designed for fast, low-cost transfers. The ecosystem includes developers, wallets, exchanges, liquidity providers and other participants that build on or interact with the ledger.
Issuing notes allows firms to add digital assets to their balance sheets without tapping cash reserves. The notes create a defined liability while directing capital for specific crypto assets and related activities.
Future company filings will disclose the use of proceeds and any further asset purchases, showing how the raised funds are deployed within the XRP ecosystem.
