EqoFlow launches encrypted social network with native token

The new social platform from EqoFlow positions itself as an alternative to traditional user exploitation in social media. EqoFlow combines privacy-preserving technology, creator monetization, and DAO-based community governance. Users are promised full data ownership and direct earnings from engagement – without surveillance capitalism.
The key problems plaguing traditional social networks are data theft and misuse, declining trust, and users’ complete lack of ownership over the value they create.
EqoFlow aims to solve these issues by introducing a decentralized, privacy-first social ecosystem. Already available in beta, the platform unites content, monetization, and DAO governance on a foundation of encrypted computation, powered by Nillion. It positions users as stakeholders rather than products sold to advertisers.
Responding to social media decline
The social media industry is struggling. Engagement has dropped 28% on Instagram, while X (formerly Twitter) has lost 15% of its user base. Trust erosion caused by AI-generated content, misinformation, and manipulative algorithms pushes users toward smaller, community-run spaces like Discord servers and private microblogs.
EqoFlow is what everyone has been waiting for – it’s what Web3 was meant to be,said Trevor Henry, Co-CEO of EqoFlow Technologies LLC.
Traditional platforms harvest user data and profit from user-generated content while returning little value. EqoFlow inverts this model, granting users data ownership, direct monetization paths, and voting power over platform development.
Privacy architecture through encryption
The partnership with Nillion implements Multiparty Computation (MPC) for privacy-preserving computation and secure data storage. This enables EqoFlow to analyze network-wide trends and deliver personalized content feeds without accessing individual user data.
Users maintain encrypted preferences and behavior patterns while still receiving tailored recommendations. Self-sovereign identity components enable attribute verification (age, professional status) without exposing sensitive data.
This architecture contrasts sharply with traditional social platforms that require broad data access to function – EqoFlow operates entirely on encrypted information.
Creator economy and monetization
EqoFlow introduces multiple monetization tools for creators of all sizes. Users earn gamified Engagement Points (EP) that convert into rewards for community participation and value creation.
An AI-powered brand-partnership tool connects users with micro-branding opportunities, giving smaller creators access to sponsorship markets typically reserved for established influencers. The platform charges below-market fees and encourages cross-platform brand collaboration.
The native EQOFLO token provides direct monetization without intermediaries. Users can build profitable personal brands within the ecosystem, combining networking, content creation, online courses, crowdfunding, and brand partnerships in one environment.
DAO governance structure
Community governance operates through a DAO, giving token holders voting power over development decisions. This structure shifts key decisions to users rather than corporate boards responding to advertisers.
The model addresses a core issue of traditional platforms: users have no say over feature changes, algorithm adjustments, or policies affecting their livelihoods.
Leadership and advisors
The founding team blends enterprise experience with blockchain expertise. Co-founders Trevor Henry and Travis Lovell lead operations – Henry brings startup-scaling experience, and Lovell contributes telecom and ICT infrastructure expertise.
Keith Lovell serves as Chief Logistics Officer with 20+ years of Fortune 500 sales and distribution management. Brian Schofield, founder of Silicon Valley automotive firm The Wheel Guys, oversees operations and brand strategy as Chief Communications Officer.
Advisors include economist Austin Rikley (tokenomics and sustainable modeling), Web3 community builder Stephanie Kappes (cross-community collaboration), and project management consultant Cian Farrell (early-stage crypto investment).

Market positioning
EqoFlow targets users seeking alternatives to surveillance capitalism and algorithmic manipulation. The platform provides infrastructure for private communities, creator economies, and brand partnerships – while maintaining encrypted data protection.
The beta version is live with limited access at eqoflow.app. Full rollout timing has not yet been announced. EqoFlow competes in a crowded social-media landscape, where migration toward privacy-focused alternatives is accelerating.
Whether EqoFlow can deliver on its promises of user ownership, privacy, and a sustainable creator economy – while achieving scale – remains to be seen.
