Eole buys HYPE, plans ¥100M ($611K) holding
Tokyo-listed Eole bought 1,078.2547 HYPE on July 28 for $66,002 (¥10.08M) and plans to raise the holding to about $611,113 (¥100M) by end of August.
Eole Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth market, purchased 1,078.2547 HYPE tokens on July 28 for $66,002 (¥10.08 million). The average price was $57.15 per token. The company plans several additional purchases through the end of August to bring the total holding to about $611,113 (¥100 million).
Eole stated it will hold HYPE alongside bitcoin under its ‘Neo Crypto Bank’ initiative, launched in October 2025 to build financial infrastructure for environments where artificial intelligence agents can make payments and sign contracts. The company described the acquisition as a strategic asset tied to its onchain finance and Web3 business plans rather than a short-term capital trade.
Eole reported it may generate revenue from the holdings by lending digital assets and hedging price risk in traditional financial markets. The company also plans to explore connecting the tokens with its services and to add other cryptocurrencies as it develops automated, smart contract-based products.
HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a blockchain focused on onchain derivatives and trading. Eole’s purchase broadens corporate crypto exposure in Japan beyond bitcoin and ether.
The transaction contrasts with activity at Quantum Solutions. Quantum’s GPT Pals Studio sold 1,000 ether on July 30 for roughly $1.9 million to fund AI infrastructure, including data centers. Quantum has sold 1,904 ETH in total and now holds 4,764.80 ETH, about 29% below its peak. The company increased its cumulative sales limit from 1,875 ETH to 4,375 ETH, allowing potential further disposals of up to 2,471 ETH, but it has not committed to selling that amount.
Eole recorded the initial purchase in yen in its filings and confirmed plans to complete the additional buys by the end of August.
