Crypto PAC backs 32 House incumbents for 2026
Crypto-backed PAC Fairshake will support 32 House incumbents in 2026, beginning with $6 million in advertising and other spending for six candidates, the group announced Monday.
Crypto-backed political action committee Fairshake will support 32 House incumbents in the 2026 US midterm elections, beginning with $6 million in spending for six candidates.
The group’s list includes 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats. Each of the six candidates selected for the first round will receive $1 million for advertising and other campaign support.
The Democratic candidates are Representatives Janelle Bynum of Oregon, Derek Tran of California and Steven Horsford of Nevada. The Republicans are Representatives French Hill of Arkansas, Bill Huizenga of Michigan and Bryan Steil of Wisconsin.
Fairshake announced that all 32 candidates voted to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which would define the roles of US financial regulators in overseeing digital assets. The bill failed to pass a Senate vote, leaving its future uncertain before the 2026 elections.
“Fairshake has always been and always will be an issue-focused organization,” Fairshake spokesperson Geoff Vetter wrote in a statement. “We back pro-crypto candidates who support American innovation in both parties.”
Fairshake is expected to spend more than $100 million on House and Senate races in 2026. At least $30 million of that amount is expected to support Republican Jon Husted in Ohio’s Senate race against Democrat Sherrod Brown.
Vetter reported in August that Fairshake had $122 million in cash on hand for the election cycle. The PAC’s stated goal is to help elect lawmakers who support cryptocurrency policy.
Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, reported that Fairshake had spent $82 million on advertisements supporting or opposing candidates as of June. The group estimated that crypto industry companies and aligned organizations had provided $189 million for political efforts.
