Coinbase lists 24/7 Apple, Microsoft, Tesla perpetual futures

Perpetual futures for eligible non-U.S. traders cover Apple, Microsoft and other stocks, plus S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 products, with up to 10x leverage on single stocks and 20x on ETFs.

Coinbase introduced 24/7 perpetual futures on selected U.S. stocks and ETFs for eligible customers outside the United States in a blog post. The launch expands the exchange’s global derivatives lineup and gives non-U.S. users continuous access to equity exposure.

Initial listings include contracts linked to Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla. Products tied to the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 are available in select jurisdictions, subject to local rules.

The instruments provide synthetic, leveraged exposure and trade around the clock, including weekends. Single-stock contracts offer up to 10x leverage, while ETF products offer up to 20x. Positions are margined and settled in USDC on crypto rails, with cross-margining available across perpetual futures and spot.

Access runs through Coinbase Advanced for retail users and Coinbase International Exchange for institutions, giving global traders a Coinbase alternative when local access is limited. The products are not offered in the United States and may be restricted in some markets.

Coinbase cites rising demand for always-on equity access, especially in regions where direct trading in U.S. stocks can be limited or capital-intensive. Perpetual futures keep markets open beyond weekday stock hours and are designed for continuous pricing.

The company frames the rollout as part of a longer-term plan to build an everything exchange that hosts crypto assets, traditional financial instruments and emerging markets in one venue. Stock perpetuals have gained traction on decentralized trading platforms, and Coinbase is positioning itself among the first major centralized venues to list them.

The launch follows a derivatives push in Europe, where a MiFID-regulated entity began offering crypto futures across 26 countries. Those offerings include perpetual-style contracts and indexed products such as the “Mag7 + Crypto Equity Index.”

On the institutional side, Coinbase has introduced unified cross-margining across spot and derivatives through Coinbase Prime to improve capital efficiency and streamline portfolio management within one environment.

The company plans to broaden the stock perpetual lineup over time, adding more individual equities, indices, commodities and other globally traded assets based on customer demand.
