Kalshi becomes CNN’s official prediction market partner - GNcrypto

Kalshi has announced that it has become the official prediction market partner of CNN.

Kalshi’s data will be integrated into CNN’s news programming and used by the network’s editorial, analytics, and production teams to highlight probabilistic forecasts for cultural and political events.

CNN plans to display Kalshi’s market probabilities on air through new graphics and ticker elements. The rollout is being led by the network’s senior analyst, Harry Enten, who oversees external forecasting sources and their integration into the editorial workflow.

Kalshi said it has become a “de facto source” for assessing future outcomes and is already used by journalists, policymakers, experts, and financial market participants. The company noted that the partnership with CNN reflects the growing demand for market-based forecasts as a complement to traditional polling.

The prediction market sector is expanding quickly. Polymarket, Kalshi’s main competitor, has also increased its media presence. Its CEO, Shane Copeland, told CBS News that prediction markets are now “the most accurate tool” the public can access for forecasting events.

Combined trading volume on Kalshi and Polymarket surpassed $45 billion in 2025.

Adoption is accelerating across industries, with partners such as Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, Robinhood, and Intercontinental Exchange. This growing list underscores how prediction markets are becoming part of mainstream financial infrastructure.

The sector remains controversial. Kalshi recently faced a class-action lawsuit accusing the platform of operating as an unlicensed bookmaker and advertising terms allegedly more favorable than those offered by traditional sports betting services. The company rejects the claims and maintains that its markets comply with existing regulations.

The partnership with CNN could strengthen the industry’s legitimacy for a broader audience, especially among viewers who have never engaged with prediction markets. Bringing market probabilities into major news broadcasts may help the public better understand probabilistic forecasting and increase commercial interest in the space.
