Circle Brings USDC, EURC Payments to SAP Workflows

Circle will integrate USDC and EURC payments into SAP workflows through Tereina, allowing businesses to send and receive the stablecoins in existing financial applications.

Circle will bring its USDC and EURC stablecoins into enterprise payment workflows through a partnership with Tereina, a financial services company backed by SAP.

The integration will allow businesses using SAP financial software to send and receive USDC and EURC within the applications they already use to manage payments. Tereina provides payment infrastructure that companies can embed in business software, so users can make payments without switching to another financial platform.

USDC will support dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will be used for euro-denominated payments. Circle and Tereina plan to test the integration with customers in the coming months for international payments and corporate treasury operations.

The announcement linked the potential reach of the service to SAP’s ecosystem, which it said accounts for 84% of global commerce. The companies did not disclose financial terms for the partnership.

The partnership follows Circle’s launch of the mainnet for Arc, a layer-1 blockchain designed for stablecoin payments and financial markets. Arc uses USDC to pay transaction fees and supports more than 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, including USDC and EURC.

USDC is designed to track the value of the US dollar, while EURC is designed to track the value of the euro. Circle issues both stablecoins for digital transfers linked to their respective fiat currencies.
