Binance ETH net taker volume rose 72% to $5.5B as buyers target a $2,475–$2,634 liquidity gap near $2.6K.

Buyers pushed Binance Ether futures net taker volume up 72% to $5.5 billion over the past week as traders focused on a liquidity gap between $2,475 and $2,634 near $2,600.

The 24-hour cumulative net taker volume on Binance rose to about $5.5 billion from roughly $3.2 billion earlier in the month. The 30-day average net taker volume has been positive since March 1 and returned to levels last seen in July 2022. Net taker volume measures the difference between market buy and sell orders and is used to identify which side is driving short-term price moves.

Ether’s price has been compressed below $2,400, a level tested three times since Feb. 6. Each rejection reduced the density of sell orders above the market. A clean break above $2,400 would expose the $2,475–$2,634 range, where a fair-value gap formed during February’s rapid sell-off. A fair-value gap is an area left when prices move quickly and some orders remain unfilled.

On technicals, Ether is attempting to reclaim the 100-day exponential moving average. The 200-day EMA is approaching the upper edge of the imbalance zone near $2,634, creating an overlap between moving-average resistance and the liquidity cluster.

Derivatives data show the futures cumulative volume delta climbing to about $12.6 billion while funding rates remain near neutral. According to the Binance review, buy-taker volume exceeded $5 billion in the reported period. Those figures reflect net buying on futures books without a large expansion of leverage.

Amr Taha, a crypto analyst, commented: “When the buying spikes near local highs, it signals stronger conviction from participants.” He noted that sustained demand of that kind can keep buyers in control of short-term price direction.

Traders will monitor whether Ether clears $2,400 with follow-through into the $2,475–$2,634 zone and whether funding rates and CVD trends maintain the current balance between buyer demand and leverage.
