Boerse Stuttgart Digital, Tradias complete merger

Boerse Stuttgart Digital and Tradias completed their merger after ownership-control checks, creating a digital-asset unit of about 300 staff offering trading, custody, staking and tokenization.

Boerse Stuttgart Digital and Tradias completed their merger after the ownership-control procedure was cleared, forming a combined digital-asset unit with about 300 employees. The unit will provide trading, custody, staking and tokenization services across Europe.

The transaction was first announced in February. The merged company will operate under the Boerse Stuttgart Digital name, while Tradias will remain the brand for trading services.

The new unit will be headquartered in Frankfurt and Stuttgart and will maintain offices in Athens, Beirut, Berlin, Dubai, Madrid, Milan and Ljubljana. It will serve banks, brokers and other financial institutions seeking regulated digital-asset services across European markets.

Leadership of the combined business will be shared by Tradias founder Christopher Beck and Boerse Stuttgart Digital managing director Ulli Spankowski, who will serve as co-chief executives.

Boerse Stuttgart Digital works with institutions including DZ Bank, DekaBank, Intesa Sanpaolo and Société Générale-FORGE. Tradias counts clients such as flatexDEGIRO, dwpbank and several European government institutions and provides trading and market-making services for more than 150 cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.

The merged unit will combine Tradias’s execution and market-making capabilities with Boerse Stuttgart Digital’s regulated custody and institutional relationships. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Regulators’ ownership-control checks were a condition for completion, and the firms confirmed those procedures were satisfied before finalizing the combination.
