Bloomberg adds stablecoin data dashboard to Terminal
Bloomberg has launched an Allium-powered dashboard that gives Terminal users hourly data on stablecoin supply, issuance, transfers and activity across blockchain networks.
Bloomberg launched the dashboard on Sept. 30 through the RWAS <GO> function, making it available to all Bloomberg Terminal users.
The tool covers stablecoins with more than $100 million in circulation. Bloomberg said those assets account for more than 98% of the stablecoin market.
Users can compare stablecoins by total supply, newly issued tokens, burned tokens, transfer volume and transaction velocity. The data can be filtered by blockchain network and peg type, including fiat currencies and commodities.
Bloomberg added the onchain data to its existing fixed-income, foreign exchange and money-market tools. Banks, asset managers and other financial firms use the Terminal for market data, news, analytics, trading and communications.
The stablecoin market’s total capitalization has surpassed $306 billion, according to DeFiLlama data. Tether’s USDT accounts for about 60% of the market.
Bloomberg has offered Bitcoin pricing on the Terminal since 2014. The platform now provides pricing, reference data, identifiers and benchmarks for 50 cryptocurrencies.
