Tether CEO and BlackRock join Blockchain Conference Brasil lineup - GNcrypto

Paolo Ardoino (Tether) and Cristiano Castro (BlackRock) join 100+ speakers at Brazil’s premier crypto event to discuss stablecoins, institutional adoption, and the future of digital assets.

Blockchain Conference Brasil in São Paulo (Nov 28-29) has officially confirmed institutional heavyweights: Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and BlackRock Brazil’s Business Development Director Cristiano Castro.

Paolo Ardoino (CEO of Tether, the company behind USDT with nearly $183 billion market cap) will address stablecoin infrastructure and its growing role in global finance.

Cristiano Castro (Business Development Director at BlackRock Brazil) will present “Digital Asset Allocation: Reshaping the Financial System and Investment Portfolios.” He brings experience from BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Itaú Unibanco Asset Management, Citibank, and Ambev.

Tether and BlackRock market positions

Bloomberg recently valued Tether at $500 billion – more than the combined market value of Brazil’s largest companies including Petrobras, Itaú, Vale, BTG Pactual, Ambev, and Banco do Brasil. This highlights stablecoins’ growing role in finance.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has noted that cryptocurrency investment is a reality. The firm manages trillions of dollars for millions of clients worldwide, including in Latin America.

Panels: Crypto ETFs as institutional adoption engine

Felipe Gonçalves (B3), Samir Kerbage (Hashdex Global CIO), and Fernando Carvalho (QR Capital CEO) will discuss “ETFs and Crypto Funds: The Engine of Institutional Adoption.”

Brazil’s stock exchange B3 released its 2025 Annual ETF Report on November 13, showing the industry surpassed R$75 billion in consolidated assets with over 850,000 investors holding positions. Of these, 81% are retail investors.

Exchange analysts believe Brazil has entered a new phase, migrating from “democratization” of access to “accessible sophistication,” with 2025 marking a record year for product innovation. B3 currently lists 19 crypto-linked products, including ETFs and ETF BDRs tracking Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies.

Binance Research: payment tokens and privacy coins

Guilherme Nazar, Binance’s Regional Vice President for Latin America, will discuss crypto’s current importance in the global economy. The latest Binance Research report, published November 11, identified three late autumn 2025 trends:

  • x402 payment protocols
  • Privacy coins (with Zcash surpassing Monero)
  • AI trading model challenges that failed primarily due to poor risk management

The report notes the market fell 6.1% in October despite higher Bitcoin dominance and institutional interest in Ethereum. Even after historic liquidations, leverage returned and professional investors remained calm.

Community builders: Truther and Tools for Humanity

The event’s master sponsor is Rocelo Lopes, a Brazilian crypto enthusiast since 2013.

Conferences like this can bring people to learn and understand more, know the key ecosystem players and major companies in the sector. The quality and quantity of content generated in such a space really helps the market,

says Lopes.

Juliana Felippe, General Director of Tools for Humanity in Brazil, will address privacy issues and the future of digital wallets, including password-to-hash transitions and Proof of Humanity.

It’s a great pleasure for Tools for Humanity to sponsor Blockchain Conference Brasil. We believe blockchain-based solutions have the power to bring more security, innovation, and trust to the internet, especially for the World protocol. Brazil is one of the great technology hubs, so it makes total sense for us to be here, exchanging ideas with partners who also believe in this innovation ecosystem. We’re proud to be part of such an important movement to build digital trust in the age of artificial intelligence,

Felippe stated.

Felipe Escudero adds:

We believe Brazil has the conditions to lead the next wave of crypto adoption. BCB functions as a showcase and catalyst: we connect local innovation to global players ready to build here. By showcasing cases, technology, and strong communities, we open doors for investments and the expansion of solutions made in the country.
