Bitwise launches model portfolio solutions for digital assets for financial advisors

Bitwise Asset Management launched Bitwise Model Portfolio Solutions for Digital Assets on 3 February 2026, offering financial advisors a set of crypto-focused model portfolios built with exchange-traded products.

The company noted the lineup includes seven models designed for different risk profiles. It described two groups: Core portfolios intended to provide broad exposure across the crypto ecosystem, and Thematic portfolios aimed at investors who want to tilt allocations toward specific areas such as stablecoins, tokenization, or crypto assets beyond bitcoin.

Bitwise noted the models are monitored and rebalanced systematically to limit drift from target allocations and are packaged as frameworks that advisors can integrate into client portfolios. The firm also indicated it will provide reporting materials intended to support due diligence and client communications.

In the release, chief investment officer Matt Hougan called model portfolios a major channel for how advisors allocate across asset classes and added the new models are designed to help advisors combine a growing range of crypto ETPs in ways aligned with client objectives.

Bitwise framed the launch against growth in third-party model portfolios, citing Morningstar data that assets tracking such models rose from about $400 billion in 2023 to more than $645 billion in 2025, and that the category drew more than $80 billion in net inflows from 2022 to 2024. Bitwise reported it manages more than $15 billion in client assets.
