Bitcoin ETFs log 10th day of outflows; XRP, HYPE, Solana inflows
Bitcoin ETFs logged a 10th straight day of outflows, shedding $125.3 million on Friday; XRP drew $11.9 million, HYPE $9.5 million and Solana $1.3 million.
On Friday, May 29, bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their 10th consecutive day of net outflows, losing $125.31 million. Withdrawals were spread across six major products. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $68.20 million of outflows, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $31.95 million. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust saw $9.74 million leave, Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB lost $7.30 million, Morgan Stanley’s MSBT posted $5.26 million of outflows and Grayscale’s GBTC recorded $2.85 million in redemptions. Total value traded in bitcoin ETFs on Friday was $2.21 billion and total net assets for the category closed at $94.17 billion. For the week, bitcoin ETFs had $1.42 billion in net outflows.
Ether-focused ETFs registered their 14th straight session of net outflows on Friday, totaling $17.91 million. Several ether funds had inflows: Fidelity’s FETH added $10.53 million, BlackRock’s ETHB took in $9.32 million, 21Shares’ TETH gained $1.51 million and Bitwise’s ETHW added $1.44 million. Those inflows were offset by a $40.72 million redemption from BlackRock’s ETHA. Total ether ETF trading volume for the day was $589.04 million, and net assets for the group stood at $11.27 billion.
Smaller, altcoin-focused ETFs attracted fresh capital on Friday. XRP ETFs collected $11.88 million in net inflows, led by Bitwise’s product with $7.36 million, Canary’s XRPC with $2.38 million and Franklin’s XRPZ with $2.14 million. XRP ETF trading value was $13.21 million and net assets closed at $1.12 billion. HYPE ETFs reported $9.50 million in inflows, all through 21Shares’ THYP; HYPE trading reached $83.37 million and net assets were $136.56 million. Solana ETFs added $1.32 million, split mainly between Fidelity’s FSOL at $1.21 million and Bitwise’s BSOL at about $110,830; Solana ETF net assets closed at $943.57 million with $32.62 million traded.
Combined, bitcoin and ether ETFs lost $143.22 million on Friday. Inflows into XRP, HYPE and Solana totaled $22.70 million. Net asset totals reported at the close were $94.17 billion for bitcoin ETFs, $11.27 billion for ether ETFs and $1.12 billion for XRP ETFs.
