Bitcoin ETF inflows dip to $232M as BTC holds below $80K

U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds drew $232.1 million on Wednesday, down from $314.4 million the previous day. The eight-session inflow streak has brought about $2.8 billion into the funds. Wednesday’s total was the smallest daily inflow since Aug. 18 and represented about a 26% decline from Tuesday’s intake, according to available figures.
Bitcoin price activity provided context for the slowdown. The token briefly climbed above $80,000 on Tuesday before stalling. At the time of publication Bitcoin traded around $78,759, down roughly 0.3% over the prior 24 hours.
Cumulative data show net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have risen to $54.6 billion, with total net assets in the funds near $98.6 billion. Year-to-date net outflows for Bitcoin products have narrowed to about $2.03 billion.
Other digital-asset ETFs also drew capital on Wednesday. U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded an eighth consecutive day of inflows, taking in $192.4 million. Spot XRP ETFs posted $28.1 million in net inflows, the largest single-day intake for XRP funds since Jan. 5, bringing cumulative net inflows into XRP products to about $1.62 billion.
Market sentiment edged higher on Thursday, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index rising to 71 from 65, a level categorized as “Greed.” The index measures short-term sentiment in the crypto market.
Over the eight-session run, the combined inflows into crypto ETFs totaled about $2.8 billion, reducing earlier outflows for Bitcoin products this year and adding to the funds’ cumulative assets.
