B.AI launches on TRON for agentic AI payments and identity
B.AI launched on TRON to give AI agents on-chain identities via the 8004 protocol and automated payments using the x402 standard.
B.AI launched on the TRON network to provide on-chain identity and automated payments for AI agents, the companies announced in a TRON DAO press release dated April 15, 2026, issued from Geneva. The project uses the 8004 identity protocol and the x402 payment standard to let software agents transact and settle without traditional onboarding.
Under the 8004 framework, each agent receives a unique on-chain identity that links a blockchain address to recorded activity, feedback and credentials. The identity record is intended to let agents verify one another’s reputations and carry credentials in a way that does not require human account registration.
Payments on the platform use the x402 standard, an open protocol based on HTTP 402. The specification aims to enable automated value transfers between agent wallets so machines can pay for compute, API calls and other services in real time. B.AI describes the setup as supporting continuous settlement and high-frequency transfers.
B.AI says the service removes common barriers such as manual account creation, geographic restrictions and card-based payments, allowing agent wallets to make frequent purchases and settle transactions at machine speed. The platform is presented as a unified API and settlement network that connects agents to models and services while recording on-chain credit and identity primitives.
In the release, Justin Sun, founder of TRON, wrote: “AI agents will participate in the global economy in ways humans cannot, executing transactions continuously and at machine speed. Supporting that activity requires financial infrastructure that is fast, reliable, and accessible at a global scale.” The release highlighted TRON’s transaction capacity and stablecoin liquidity as technical enablers for frequent automated transactions.
TRON’s announcement included network figures: daily transaction volume above $22 billion, more than $86 billion in circulating USDT on the chain, over 375 million user accounts, roughly 13 billion recorded transactions and about $27 billion in total value locked as of April 2026. The release also cited an annual stablecoin transfer volume of about $7.9 trillion. TRON is listed as a Gold Member of the Agentic AI Foundation, an initiative housed under the Linux Foundation focused on interoperable infrastructure for agentic AI.
Media contacts for further inquiries were provided in the announcement for both TRON DAO and B.AI.
