Swarm sets Oct. 1 launch for $TRUTH, a tokenized fact-check layer

Swarm Network announced that its $TRUTH token will launch October 1, 2025, to enable blockchain-based, community-driven verification of online information.
The Token Generation Event will introduce tokens into circulation and will mark a shift to scaling Swarm's Truth Protocol. The project states the protocol supports millions of on-chain claim verifications and over 10,000 licensed agents in its test phase.
Swarm uses AI agent clusters combined with human oversight to verify claims, storing each attestation on-chain for transparency. The $TRUTH token is designed to power staking, governance, and reward mechanisms for agents.
Agent license holders from Swarm's testing or rollup phases may be eligible for airdrops and priority allocation. The project plans to launch "Agent BUIDL," a no-code platform for building verification agents, and an "Agent Marketplace" where agents can offer services to other platforms.
Swarm integrated Walrus, a decentralized storage layer on Sui blockchain, to store claims data, agent logs, media, and reasoning artifacts. The integration aims to make verification auditable and persistent.

The network recently secured $13 million in funding, including $10 million via a public Agent License Sale, and sold over 10,000 agent licenses. The licenses were issued on Sui's network.
Swarm's validation infrastructure powers Rollup.News, a platform for decentralized fact-checking. The platform leverages the Truth Protocol to generate on-chain attestations from social media claims.
The company has not disclosed specific details about token distribution mechanics, staking models, or exact governance structures. Trading venue announcements and total token supply figures remain unconfirmed by independent sources.
Swarm describes its approach as decentralizing trust rather than replicating traditional fact-checkers with centralized systems. The protocol combines automated verification with human review layers.
The Walrus integration addresses storage limitations on conventional blockchains for data types such as agent logs, media files, and evidence documentation. The October 1 launch date has been announced but specific timing and exchange listings have not been independently verified.
