📣 Starknet Launches Program to Support dApps
posted 16 Sept 2024
The Starknet Foundation introduced the Catalyst Program to boost the growth of the Starknet ecosystem and support high-quality decentralized applications through grants. Developers are expected to use these funds to improve user experience and other critical aspects of their projects.
The Catalyst Program is one of three initiatives aimed at supporting projects based on their stage of development. Applicants were evaluated on several criteria, including total value locked (TVL), funding, token presence, security, audits, and more.
The Starknet Foundation provided evaluations, verified by an independent third party, and awarded projects with designations of either "Trailblazer" or "Rising Star." The foundation has already published a list of standout applications that received grants ranging from 100,000 to 6,000,000 STRK.
Among the first to receive grants were projects like the automated market maker (AMM) Ekubo and the decentralized exchange Avnu. Notable Rising Stars include StarknetID, a domain name service, and Focus Tree, a screen time management app. The Starknet Foundation also encouraged more developers to join and contribute to the growing ecosystem.
