Ripple has officially introduced Ripple Prime - a digital brokerage platform designed for institutional clients in the United States.
The platform offers OTC spot trading in major digital assets, including XRP, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple’s own stablecoin, RLUSD. It marks the company’s first major expansion into the U.S. market following its $1.25 billion acquisition of multi-asset broker Hidden Road.
By integrating Hidden Road’s licenses and infrastructure, Ripple has unified clearing, financing, and trade execution under one platform. According to Michael Higgins, international CEO of Ripple Prime, the launch complements Ripple’s existing derivatives products and gives U.S. institutions a comprehensive solution tailored to their trading needs.

Ripple Prime also supports cross-margining, allowing clients to hedge crypto positions against traditional instruments such as CME futures and options.

The platform has been expanding its institutional footprint throughout 2025. Alongside the Hidden Road deal, the company acquired GTreasury for $1 billion in October, strengthening its presence in corporate payments and treasury management. CEO Brad Garlinghouse described it as a turning point for corporate liquidity management, highlighting Ripple’s goal of becoming core infrastructure for tokenized assets and stablecoins.

With Ripple Prime, the company became one of the first in the U.S. to integrate crypto and traditional markets under a single operational framework. Clients will be able to trade and hold digital assets alongside fiat currencies and debt instruments. Ripple says the platform aims to increase XRP liquidity and streamline RLUSD integration into corporate settlements.

Ripple is also deepening its political and institutional engagement in the U.S. The company has supported several Trump administration initiatives, including the stablecoin bill, and is among the key donors to the new White House fund. Garlinghouse noted that the U.S. regulatory climate is improving and said Ripple plans to expand Ripple Prime as the legal framework stabilizes.

This new brokerage platform marks a new phase in the company’s strategy, evolving Ripple from a payments provider into a full-fledged institutional player in digital assets, competing with Galaxy, Coinbase Institutional, and Anchorage Digital.
