Ondo brings tokenized U.S. stocks & ETFs to BNB Chain

On Oct 29, Ondo Finance expanded Ondo Global Markets to BNB Chain, adding the first at‑scale tokenized stocks & ETFs to the network. The rollout taps BNB Chain’s large user base (the project cites ~3.4M daily active users) and integrates with leading venues such as PancakeSwap to improve access and liquidity.
Ondo says more than 100 tickers are supported at launch, and the platform is built for multichain use (already live on Ethereum, with more deployments planned).
Tokenized stocks and ETFs represent traditional shares on-chain. Users can trade them on BNB Chain with instant settlement and clear on‑chain custody, while off‑chain infrastructure links each token to the underlying securities.
BNB Chain’s scale turns tokenized equities from a niche pilot into a mainstream‑ready product. A larger user base and DeFi integrations can deepen order books, reduce spreads, and make 24/7 markets feel closer to traditional equities in speed and reliability. In emerging markets like Asia and Latin America, accessing U.S. stocks becomes easier: just a wallet, a trading venue, and compliant access to top-tier companies.
Since its September launch, Ondo Global Markets reports >$350M TVL and ~$669M in on‑chain trading volume, positioning it as the largest tokenized securities platform by TVL with 100+ U.S. stocks and ETFs available.
Real‑world assets (RWA) are one of BNB Chain’s fastest‑growing segments. Bringing Ondo’s catalog to BNB Chain aligns with the network’s push to make regulated financial products usable on‑chain and connects tokenized securities to a broader mix of wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols.
Tokenized shares still depend on off‑chain rails – brokers, custodians, and transfer agents – to mirror real ownership. Users should expect jurisdictional limits (KYC/eligibility), potential trading halts if the underlying markets close or if corporate actions occur, and liquidity differences versus primary exchanges. As with any cross‑chain setup, bridges and messaging layers add operational risk that platforms must mitigate.
BNB Chain framed the launch as a step toward “Wall Street on‑chain,” highlighting instant settlement and transparent custody. Ondo contributors echoed the multichain push and PancakeSwap support, with early social buzz around expanding access to U.S. equities for BNB Chain’s global user base.
