Bitcoin OG shifts $217M BTC into Ethereum on Hyperliquid
A long-time Bitcoin whale has deposited another 2,000 BTC, worth around $217 million, into decentralized exchange Hyperliquid.
The funds were sold on the platform and converted directly into Ethereum, continuing a series of high-value BTC-to-ETH swaps.
Blockchain monitoring shows that over the past 12 hours the same wallet sold 2,000 BTC for $221 million and purchased 49,850 ETH valued at $219 million. In total, the whale has accumulated 691,358 ETH, a stash currently worth about $3 billion.
The transactions highlight one of the largest ongoing shifts from Bitcoin to Ethereum by a single entity.
