Andrew Tate loses $67K on WLFI, bets again immediately

Andrew Tate suffered a $67,500 loss when his WLFI long was liquidated, yet he wasted no time opening a new position.
Andrew Tate is actively betting on the WLFI (World Liberty Financial) token, a Trump-backed cryptocurrency launched on September 1, 2025. Data from blockchain analytics tool Lookonchain shows that the social media personality and former kickboxer had a leveraged long on WLFI liquidated on Hyperliquid for about $67,500. Despite the sizable loss, he “immediately” entered another bullish position on the same token.
This liquidation came shortly after his leveraged short bet on the Kanye West–linked YZY token, bringing Tate’s total losses on a Hyperliquid account close to $700,000.

Justin Sun, founder of the TRON blockchain, is one of the most prominent buyers of WLFI tokens, as well as an advisor for World Liberty Financial. According to Arkham Intelligence, after the token’s launch, Justin Sun claimed $200M in WLFI tokens (part of his huge $891M stash).

In an X post, Sun said he has no plans to sell the tokens anytime soon and believes WLFI is one of the biggest crypto projects. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reports that the Trump family has profited $5 billion from the token.
“WLFI is likely now the Trumps’ most valuable asset, exceeding their decades-old property portfolio,” the WSJ noted.
WLFI has a max supply of 100 billion tokens, with about 24.67 billion, roughly 25%, currently available for trading. A large portion of the supply remains locked, including allocations for the team and founders.
